We’re looking for a Head of UX/UI!
Do you want to play a strategic role aligning our product roadmap with consumer/market needs? Are you up for creating balanced and elegant product solutions? Then keep on reading, you might be the one we’re looking for!
As Head of UX/UI, you’ll take a leadership role that includes responsibilities such as organising and mentoring a team. You’ll ensure that work is impactful and relevant to our needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UX discipline, strong instincts for design and content development and a creative approach to usability studies and feedback.
The leadership role involves building, leading, and growing a highly collaborative team, consisting of approx 10 employees, within the area of UX and UI. The teams are located primarily in Skövde and Manila in the Philippines.
A suitable candidate will have an ability to drive the team through complex projects in large business settings and disciplines. Superior analytical skills are also required.
The position involves a large amount of interaction with the director of UX, stakeholders, UX personnel, and most importantly consumers. Therefore, the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to all these audiences, is an absolute necessity.
Knowledge of the UX/UI world
The Head of UX must be aware and up to date with all aspects of the product and its features. This is for purposes of accountability to the Director of UX and stakeholders as well as excellent product support to the consumers.
In this capacity, the Head of UX monitors and drives the product all the way from creation of design concepts to the final launch as well as post-launch monitoring and analysis. The candidate is tasked with ensuring that designated practices, annual product and consumer targets, and KPIs are met.
You’re awesome at:
- Extensive experience conducting UX design and research in an international, high-tech, consumer-oriented environment,
- Have previous experience managing a team of designers
- Being detail oriented, with strong organization and process skills
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints
- Extremely strong communication skills and demonstrated success presenting in a clear and compelling manner to cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate the work of experienced designers on the same product
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for practical application of research findings
- Strong visual and interaction design skills
- Strong design portfolio (with examples of work on web and mobile apps)
